My Transformation
After I had my first child, I wanted so badly to lose the baby weight—but it felt impossible. I was breastfeeding, constantly hungry, and eventually gave up trying. Everything changed when I stopped chasing diets and shifted my focus to balancing my blood sugar and nourishing my body with the right foods. Pairing that with a simple rhythm that worked for me, the weight started coming off, my energy improved, and I finally felt like myself again. I even made it back to my pre-baby weight—all without restrictive dieting.

I became pregnant with my third daughter and once again faced gestational diabetes.
By then, I had learned so much about blood sugar balance, nutrition, and mindset—and it made a huge difference in how I felt throughout pregnancy.
I also pursued my pre- and postnatal health coaching certification so I could take what I’d learned and help other moms through these same struggles.
2022
Had my daughter toward the end of 2020.
My diagnosis was also a turning point—I realized blood sugar balance wasn’t just about pregnancy, but about my long-term health.
Started to FINALLY lose the postpartum weight (from both kids) and feel like myself again.
2020
Pregnant with daughter right before Covid hit.
Maintained fitness and jogging routine, and I added in meal prep.
Started blogging again to document my pregnancy journey.
I was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes for the first time. Conventional nutrition advice really didn't help, so I started doing my own trial and error.
2019
After giving birth, I felt lost and started gaining weight.
I didn't know what to do and felt like a fraud.
As my son got older though, I started getting into more of a workout routine again.
2017
Became pregnant with my son.
Working 12-hour swing shift AND going to night school for MBA, but decided to stop.
Continued running clean eating challenges in my Facebook group.
2016
Weight loss for me didn't happen overnight. It was a long process that started with changing my mindset around how I ate and experimenting with how foods affected me.
